West Limerick Physiotherapy Clinic is pleased to announce that we now have a Shockwave Therapy machine at the clinic. Shockwave therapy is used on a wide variety of tendon and joint disorders and can be an alternative to surgery, anti-inflammatory medication and steroid injections.
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that stimulates the body’s natural healing process. It can relieve pain and promote healing in injured tendons, ligaments and other soft tissue.
It is commonly used to treat stubborn injuries like:
- Achilles tendon pain
- Plantar fasciitis
- Heel spur
- Tennis elbow
- Hamstring pain
- Groin pain
- Shoulder rotator cuff pain
