Sports Injuries including muscle and ligament strain

Acute sports injuries are recent or traumatic injuries incurred during sports or leisure activities (see also pre-and post-orthopaedic surgery information page). Common examples include:

  • Sprained ankle

Chronic sports injuries are long-term or persistent problems related to sport or activity or affecting sporting performance. Common examples include:

  • Tightness in leg musculature
