Neck Pain and Neck Stiffness
Neck pain and stiffness is very common and will affect most of the population at some time in their lives. It can occur at any age.
You do not need a referral from your doctor to see a Chartered Physiotherapist.
Neck pain can develop following an accident or fall (whiplash type injury), or can start for no apparent reason (arthritic degenerative changes to the spine).
Neck pain can be felt centrally in the neck or at the base of the skull.
It can result in headaches (cervicogenic headaches) or pain travelling down the arm to the fingers or down the spine to the shoulder blades.
Here at West Limerick Physiotherapy Clinic, our Chartered Physiotherapists are specialised in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of neck pain.
We use manual therapy (“hands on treatment”), deep dry needling, Pilates, deep tissue massage and exercises to treat the various signs and symptoms of neck pain.
We can give you postural advise, we can help you minimise the strain on your neck at work, and advise you on supporting your neck while sleeping to ensure you get a better night’s sleep.
Each treatment program is individually designed to suit our patients needs, so if you have any queries on the treatment of neck pain or headaches please contact us and one of our experienced team and we will be happy to help.
As always, when you choose a Chartered Physiotherapist you can have the peace of mind in knowing you are being treated by a physiotherapist who has a university degree qualification and is committed to the highest possible standards of ethical and clinical excellence.
