Mild to Moderate Prolapse

Mild to Moderate Prolapse

Recent medical studies have shown that strengthening your pelvic floor muscles can help improve a mild to moderate prolapse. Female genital prolapse happens when a portion of the vaginal canal protrudes from the opening of the vagina. The condition can occur after childbirth or during the menopause. The most common types are:

  • Cystocele (bladder into vagina)
  • Rectocele (rectum into vagina)
  • Uterine prolapse (uterus into vagina)

Here at West Limerick Physiotherapy Clinic we can help you re-train your pelvic floor muscles and manage the problems associated with a mild to moderate prolapse.
