Bladder & Sexual Dysfunction
Bladder and sexual dysfunction can occur when your pelvic floor muscles are weak. Pelvic floor muscles are more likely to weaken after childbirth or during the menopause. Medical studies have shown that increasing your pelvic floor strength can help improve bladder dysfunction.
Here at West Limerick Physiotherapy we specialise in the management of bladder and sexual dysfunction that is associated with weakness of the pelvic floor muscles. We can perform an assessment of the pelvic floor muscles and grade them from 0-5 on the Modified Oxford Scale. From this assessment wedevelop an individual exercise programme to improve the strength of the pelvic floor muscles.
